“Walk a Mile in My Shoes” is a song written, produced and arranged by Joe South, who had a hit with it in 1970. The single was credited to “Joe South and the Believers” and reached #12 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song has been covered by many notorious artists and bands such as Elvis Presley for his 1970 live album “On Stage”, Billy Eckstine for his 1971 album “Feel the Warm”, Bryan Ferry for his 1974 album “Another Time, Another Place” or Coldcut for their 2006 album “Sound Mirrors” (featuring vocals from Robert Owens). Claudio Famulari comes with a 2015 cover of the song, modernly re-arranged and mixed but preserving the musical tone of late 60s, also promoted by a video in which Claudio chose some black men to feature in as the song concerns racial tolerance and the need for perspective and compassion.
