“The Best is Yet to Come” is a 1959 song composed by Cy Coleman, with lyrics written by Carolyn Leigh. It is generally associated with Frank Sinatra, who made it popular, but the song was actually written for and introduced by Tony Bennett.
Notable recordings have been made by numerous jazz & swing singers, crooners and orchestras since then. Here’s a recent live performance by Davide Zenari and Mantua Swing Orchestra conducted by Massimo Piccoli.
Davide Zenari, born on January 10, 1984, in Roverbella, a comune in the Province of Mantua in the Italian region Lombardy, a graduate of the Conservatory of Music ‘Lucio Campiani’, Mantova, Italy, is the crooner and the frontman of the Italian jazz & swing band Swing’n’Roll, a charismatic quartet specialized in wedding receptions, private events and ceremonies, performing throughout Italy and beyond.
Davide has been working with many talented Italian musicians so as to give the best live performances to all jazz and swing lovers and successfully manages to combine the modern with the past to the delight of his listeners.
