“Something’s Got A Hold On Me” is a song by American singer Etta James, written by James, Leroy Kirkland and Pearl Woods, released in 1962 as the third single from her 1962 self-titled album as a 7″ vinyl disc. Musically, the song is an R&B track with elements of soul, blues and gospel. It has been covered on numerous occasions by a large number of singers and bands such as The Kingsmen, Vaya Con Dios, Christina Aguilera, Paloma Faith, Jessica Mauboy, and many more including Belle Brown aka. Isabelle Alluzzi, an Italian singer and actress, whose version achieves perfection of its original.
Isabelle Alluzzi, known under her stage name of Belle Brown, originally from Sal Rei, Cape Verde, a graduate of Francesco Morlacchi Conservatory of Music from Perugia, Jazz Section, is a singer, a former dancer and clip girl of hip hop, presently a teacher of hip hop, and an actress as well, ie a consummate artist. Her desire of self-improvement makes her aspire to a higher and higher professional development that will take her much closer to her fans both from Italy and her current country of adoption, Switzerland.
