Ioana Sandu – “Îmi tresaltă inima”

“Îmi tresaltă inima” (“My heart leaps”) is a mid 2017 summer single written by Francisc Reiter with Romanian lyrics by Mariana Dumitru, recorded by Ioana Sandu for her bilingual album “Tu și eu” / “Tu y yo” , released in the Fall of the same year under the label of Eurostar. The single is also promoted by a video directed by Andrei Dede.

This lead single, “Îmi tresaltă inima”, released by the couple Ioana Sandu and her composer Francisc Reiter proves it possible that genuine Romanian pop songs can still capture the attention of a large number of good music lovers worldwide, no matter the language they speak as music itself is the universal language of mankind.

Ioana Sandu, widely known as the ambassador of the traditional Romanian pop songs abroad which have been well received by plenty of non-Romanian speakers worldwide, keeps the tradition of cantabile songs in a simple and direct way of communication through the warmth of her voice, the feeling and the theme.

Awarded “The best female recording artist” in 2016, the Press Award at the National Festival of Romances “Golden Chrysanthemum” (an annual musical event that takes place every autumn in Targoviste, the old medieval citadel of Romania) in 2017 and many other previous prizes and merits, Ioana Sandu hopes that her songs will be continuously loved and appreciated by her fans therefore she does her best not to let them down ever as her great willing is to prove a quality performance of her music by keeping it clean and original.
